Participating in Bike to Work Week Spokane 2008

  • People interested in participating should register in advance through the website. The first 300 registrants will receive a free (and super hip!) Bike to Work Spokane T-shirt. If you don't pick up your t-shirt at the Monday morning kickoff event, you can pick it up at the Friday afternoon celebration at the Steam Plant Grill, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Participation is free and requires only that you commute into work at least one day (but hopefully every day) during bike to work week.
  • There will be a Kickoff Event on the morning of Monday, May 12 at Riverfront Park. Mountain Gear will provide a free pancake breakfast with coffee. Other prizes and t-shirts for registered riders will be available for pickup. You may be the lucky winner of an Alchemy Goods messenger bag, made of recycled bicycle innertubes. Dignitaries will speak!
  • To register, Click on the “Register” tab located near the top of the home page. Then, simply follow the instructions.
  • Consider “Park and Bike” or “Bike and Bus” options if you live farther away. Plans are underway for rides originating at STA Park and Ride lots.
  • Work at home options – ride to store/café for lunch, ride with kids to school, ride stationary bike, be creative (?)!
